Shot For No One
Not every photo I take is for a client. Some of my favorite shots have come from just walking around with my Leica and no real plan—just seeing what catches my eye.
If no one was watching, I’d be framing strangers through reflections. Looking for shadows that feel like a scene from a movie no one made. Half of it wouldn’t make sense to anyone else. But that’s kind of the point.
I’d be still for a while, waiting on the right kind of quiet. I’d photograph motion blur. Cracked concrete. Faces I’ll never know. The stuff people walk past without noticing—those moments feel honest to me.
Some of these photos exist already. Others live in my head. Either way, they’re the ones that keep me curious. The ones that remind me why I started—and why I always have my Leica with me. Those shots I’ve been thinking about can show up at any point, and I wouldn’t want to miss it.
